Al Sharpton, ladies, and gentlemen:
Can you imagine our reading that James Madison or Thomas Jefferson tried to overthrow the government so they could stay in power?
Oh yes, Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, and James Madison, Father of the Constitution, would never overthrow any government, would they?
It's not like the year 1776 exists in American history, right?
Right?
Oh. Yeah.
It turns out James Madison and Thomas Jefferson are only known to history BECAUSE they successfully overthrew the government.
But I should give Sharpton his due: Technically, Jefferson and Madison didn't rebel against the king because they wanted unlimited power for themselves.
Then again, egotistical and opinionated about the 2020 election as he is, neither is Trump. Trump believes there is corruption in the government that must be addressed in order to set America back on the path that allowed it to achieve such unprecedented wealth and prosperity - the path Madison and Jefferson started us on.
But Sharpton doesn't want you to think about that: He just wants you to see Trump as a dictator.
