When the law isn't on your side, might as well dig deep into your emotional response grab bag and pull out an emotional plea masquerading as a viable charge of misconduct.
In a video speech Friday, the Squad Commander leveled charges against Mitch McConnell, and by extension the entire Republican Party, saying, "Tonight, Mitch McConnell publicly, the night of her passing, he couldn't wait 24 hours, issued a statement saying that he was going to give Trump a vote in violation of her dying wish."
She continued her emotional accusations, saying, "We know who this man is. This is a man who does not care about a dying woman's final wish, clearly."
Sorry AOC, but we fear you misunderstand the rules of this game. With no disrespect to The Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsberg, dying wishes are not legally binding obligations. They do not trump (sorry, had to do it) constitutional law.
Getting this violation notice actually makes me feel much better. I'm not sure I could ever support a policy that aligns with the Squad, so I'm glad she let me know exactly where they stand on the issue so that I can think/feel/do exactly the opposite.
