Socialist comrade AOC might be one of the most successful capitalists of all time:
Ocasio-Cortez launched a line of campaign merchandise called the "Tax The Rich Collection" after she wore a dress to the Met Gala emblazoned with the message "Tax The Rich." While Ocasio-Cortez insisted that the dress was a message to the attendees of the Met Gala, the self-described democratic socialist received heavy criticism for seemingly hobnobbing with the class of people she claimed to be against.
According to her campaign website, Ocasio-Cortez's "Tax The Rich" line has six products: a sweatshirt for $58, a tee-shirt for $27, a "dad hat" for $28, a sticker pack for $10, a mug for $27, and a tote bag for $27.
While AOC has had a "Tax the Rich" shirt in her store for some time, she must have seen the market opportunity created by her Met Gala dress controversy and decided to cash in on by launching a full line!
Here's billionaire Kevin O'Leary (from ABC's Shark Tank) congratulating her earlier this year on the shirt.
"Inside every socialist is a capitalist SCREAMING to get out."
This is Not The Bee, but I'm going to end with a nod to one of our Babylon Bee brethren, who noticed how AOC perfectly mirrors the pigs in the plot of Orwell's Animal Farm.
Like literally every Marxist in power before her, AOC says she's a socialist revolutionary for the working masses, but spends her time schmoozing with the rich elites she's supposed to be fighting!
