Axios is dipping its toes into satire now!

Now THAT is a funny headline!

Wait- you're telling me this isn't satire.

7.2 million encounters with illegal aliens in 3 years. 1.8 million gotaways.

But "open borders" is a myth and the southern border is "more fortified than it's ever been."

They think we're idiots.

Here's all the evidence that Axios uses to push their lies about the "open border myth."

Let's look closely:

Reality check: Since 1992, the U.S. has quadrupled the number of Border Patrol agents — from less than 5,000 to nearly 20,000 today.

And are those border agents turning anyone back? Or are they simply processing them through?

• Barriers, walls, and fences have been erected along portions of the 1,951-mile U.S.-Mexico border, in addition to new Border Patrol outposts and high-tech surveillance systems.

Again, are these walls and fences used to keep people out or are they used to funnel illegal crossers to the ports of entry where they can walk across on the red carpet.

• The Border Patrol regularly breaks border arrest records, highlighting the difficulty of entering the country illegally.

Arrests and then ... what? I'll give you a hint, it's not "catch and deport." It's catch and release.

• Most recently, Biden decided to go forward with a border wall in South Texas.

Meanwhile, Biden also sued to remove razor wire and floating barriers and is in a standoff with Texas for control of Eagle Pass. But they built a tiny section of wall. So I guess the border isn't open!

• Lines at ports of entry have gotten longer because of new requirements to enter the U.S., putting pressure to expand hours at newer ports of entry like the one in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

New requirements? That's weird. Maybe the requirement should be "go back and try again legally!"

But this is all the evidence Axios gives for Biden having the "most fortified" US border ever.

This is such a trash take and Axios was hammered for it.
