Joe doesn't care about you. He only cares about optics.
On February 3rd, 2023, a train carrying hazardous materials like vinyl chloride overturned and poisoned the ground in the small community of East Palestine, leading to evacuations and ongoing ecological disaster in the Ohio River basin.
On February 22, just weeks later, Donald Trump showed up to East Palestine as a private citizen, using his own resources to spend time on the ground with the devastated community.
The Don even brought bottled water and bought Mickey D's for half the town!
The Biden administration was pressured for weeks to have the president address the disaster and send more federal resources to the area. But once Trump showed up and made Biden look bad, King Joe started to care. He sent Mayor Pete within 24 hours of Trump's visit so his optics wouldn't look as bad.
(Because that's all he cares about.)
Now, a YEAR after the disaster, Biden is planning to roll into the community and brag about himself and how great he is, the chosen aristocratic son of America.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that Biden wanted to go at a time that would be most helpful for the town.
Here's how the town mayor responded to that:
Fox News reached out to East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway to find out when he thought the most helpful time would be, and he told Fox News, in 'my personal opinion the best time for him to come would be February of 2025 when he is on his book tour.'
I'm sure Biden will lie about how his son Beau died from exposure to toxic chemicals, or remind those Midwesterners how great his economic policies are.
He needs those Ohio votes, so he's going to pinch his nose and hold his breath and not drink the water in East Palestine this week.
The locals will despise him, but the staged audience and the media will eat it up, and that's all Joe cares about.
The man would put your kids in the Hunger Games for sport if he thought it would make him look good!
Trump had thoughts:
For all of Trump's faults, when you meet the guy, you feel like he sees you, and that makes all the difference.
I think the people of East Palestine know that better than most.
