Burglar hangs woman's wash, mops her floor, makes her a meal with food from her cupboard

Okay, this would freak me out.

No kidding, this guy broke into a single woman's house while she was at work, hung her laundry, mopped her floor, emptied her recycling bin, filled her bird feeders, put some groceries in the fridge, replaced her toothbrush head, and cooked her a meal.

He also left her a note reading, "Don't worry, be happy, eat up and scratch."

Bro, what in the world?!?!

This lady lives in Wales, and if I was her I'd be packing up my stuff and heading to Mexico, stat. In fact, the man organized her home, so getting everything into one of those transportable storage containers shouldn't take long.

This bro did so much while he was in the house, I missed a few of his good deeds:

Plant pots had been moved in her garden, a pair of shoes had been removed from packaging and the packaging placed in the bin, and the fridge had been rearranged.

He did down an entire bottle of wine while he was in there, but I'm sure he was just taking this as sort of a payment for his work.

It took two weeks for the police to track down the burglar, Damian Wojnilowicz, and during that time the woman said:

I was living in a state of heightened anxiety I had never experienced before. I wondered if it was somebody who knew me, if it was going to turn into a stalking incident, if he knew I lived alone and if I had been targeted. I was too scared to stay in my own home and stayed with a friend.

Like I said, I'd have been out of there in no time. This happened back in July, but it sounds an awful lot like one of those spooky October stories. Either way, I simply cannot imagine what this lady's mind was turning to during those two weeks.

Here's what's been made of the good-deed burglar:

Damian Wojnilowicz, 36, was jailed for 22 months at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday for carrying out the unusual burglary in Monmouthshire on 16 July.

I would argue that he should be sentenced to community service, but given the nature of the crime that would be more of a reward than a punishment.

Not sure why this jailing took so long โ€” possibly he had some other homes to clean โ€” but he'll be in jail for the next two years or so.

And when he gets out, I'm sure he'll be a changed man and have a new business in home cleaning. Payments for his service can be made by check, cash, or dry riesling.
