Why would anyone ever do this?

This is a little extreme for stealing candles, am I right?

I think with candles you just walk out.

Cuz nobody's chasing down a candle thief.

Regardless, this did happen.

A man in Doral, Florida, escaped from a mall store with stolen goods on Saturday by spraying everyone in his way with bear repellent…

One [person] had to be taken to the hospital after taking a direct hit of spray to the face.

You've never seen this written anywhere, and you'll never see it again (I hope).

Maybe in Florida this is normal though…

Anyhow, yes, this man apparently stole some candles from Bath & Body Works in Doral, Florida and he thought he should just go crazy with the bear spray on the way out just in case his thievery was serious enough for cashier Lisa to chase him down.

And he injured 30 PEOPLE along the way!

I hope somebody had some milk handy.

Well, this dude is yet to be caught, but get this fine piece of information:

The suspect was last seen leaving the mall in a taxi.

Yeah, this guy had a VERY SERIOUS escape plan!
