Chick-fil-A is "moving aggressively" into the entertainment industry with plans to launch its own streaming service

Welp. I think the endless streaming platforms have officially jumped the shark.

Deadline understands that the fast-food firm has been working with a number of major production companies, including some of the studios, to create family-friendly shows, particularly in the unscripted space. It is also in talks to license and acquire content.

I love you CFA, but who the heck was asking you to make a bunch of reality TV and game shows?

I mean, I'm guilty here. This may be my fault.

But when I wished there was a family-friendly, high-quality streaming service that could be like the "Chick-fil-A of Netfli"x I didn't mean that I literally wanted a CFA streaming service.

We hear that this includes a family-friendly gameshow from Glassman Media, the company behind NBC's The Wall, and Michael Sugar's Sugar23, which is behind series such as Netflix's 13 Reasons Why. Deadline understands this show has been handed a ten-episode order.

Budgets on the unscripted side are believed to be in the range of $400,000 per half-hour. Sources told us the idea is to launch later this year and there's also talk of scripted projects and animation.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised when the Christian fast food company becomes the Christian equivalent of mindless entertainment, the fast food of the mind.

30 Rock fans should appreciate this.

CFA is bringing in the big guns for this project as well.

Brian Gibson, who has worked on series including History's Top Gear remake and Fox's adaptation of The X Factor, is leading the programming charge and has been in talks with various producers.

I'm, sorry but if these shows are anything like the awful, smarmy, melodramatic and just plain stupid ads they've been putting out lately, prepare for a lot of garbage.

Maybe I should be more optimistic?

Either way, what a time to be alive!
