The day after Trump won, online internet searches for moving to Canada, Britain, and Australia surged as the wokies of our nation were led to panic by the mainstream media about what a second Trump presidency would look like.
Not everyone can afford to go buy an extra house in Portugal like some British expats can.
But, there are other options for the slightly less affluent.
For example, Villa Vie Residences announced that they will be launching a four-year cruise for those looking to flee the country because of Trump, and they are calling it the "Skip Forward" cruise.
Here's the pitch from Villa Vie Residences:
'Residents have the flexibility to join their customized journey at any port during the continuous global adventure for up to 4 years,' Villa Vie Residences said in a press release.
The cruise is 100% all-inclusive.
'Pay once and never worry about it again,' the site reads. 'The moment you step on board, your journey begins. Leave behind the familiar and embrace the unknown as you navigate the world's most iconic and inspiring locations.'
The ship resembles the Pacific Princess from the Love Boat series.
One might think, surely, there must be a catch.
Well of course there is: three in fact.
First off, there's the cost.
The four-year cruise costs $159,999 per person for a double room or $255,999 for a single-occupancy cabin.
Even in our high-inflation era, that's roughly the price of a house in some parts of the country, which you can live in forever, not just four years.
Secondly, the cruise line is somewhat notorious for stiffing people.
Last year, the maiden voyage, which was sold as a three-years-at-sea adventure to retirees, was called off two weeks before departure, leaving some of the passengers homeless. It turned out that they hadn't even procured a ship for the voyage yet.
The company promised a full refund but had to make it in monthly installments to the passengers.
And finally, while it does appear that the company has a ship now, I think the biggest catch would be the real deal breaker for me.
Even if I had the money and was willing to risk doing business with a company with a less than stellar reputation, imagine what socializing with people who equate Trump to Hitler would be like all day, everyday, with no way to escape for four years.
