In the United States, authorities might seize a few kilos of cocaine in a major drug bust.
In Central America, the traffic is, um, a little heavier.
Via CBS:
El Salvador seized packages containing 1.4 tons of cocaine floating in the Pacific Ocean, President Nayib Bukele said Tuesday, calling it a strike "against international drug trafficking."
The shipment was found approximately 1,000 miles southwest of El Cordoncillo at the mouth of the Jaltepeque estuary on El Salvador's Pacific coast, he said, in a social media post that included images of the seizure.
You know a president is proud of a drug bust when he posts it on his feed.
At 900 nautical miles (1,667 km) southwest of La Bocana El Cordoncillo, Estero de Jaltepeque, we located packages of cocaine floating in the high seas, which would later be picked up by criminal organizations.
In total, 1.4 tons seized, valued at $35 million dollars.
It was a heck of a lot!
Narcos watching that stuff get taken aboard a federale ship like:

Bukele said the country's recent drug seizures "now add up to 37.2 tons of cocaine seized between 2024 and the present in 2025, with an estimated value of $932.4 [million]."
Love to see the cartels lose that kind of paycheck! Well done everyone.
