Extreme levels of confusion ensue as police pull over driverless car which then attempts to flee the scene

Ladies and gentlemen, the future is here. In San Francisco you can now hop in a driverless taxi to get where you need to go.

And it's pretty darn cool if you ask me!

Okay, now I want to try this! And so do you, don't lie.

But what happens when one of these Cruise vehicles gets pulled over for not having proper lighting?

Well, above all, it's extremely confusing.

Check it out:

🤣🤣🤣

"Ain't nobody in there!"

Those boys in blue are extra confused, and I would be, too—especially when the thing darted off! The future is moving in on us at an exhausting pace, and it's getting harder and harder to keep up!

Here's Cruise's response to this incident:

So it didn't really flee, it just found a safer spot to pull over.

That's good.

Either way, I'm amazed, amused, and quite honestly a bit spooked by this video. Though I would like to take a ride in one.

I'm trying to imagine, though, what this video would've looked like had there been passengers in the back.

Like, do they get in trouble? Because if I was in the back and we got pulled over, I'd feel pretty darn intimidated. Especially if the vehicle seemingly fled the scene.
