The ad for Facebook's virtual reality game, Horizon, is so creepy that I don't know how to even react.

Watch:

Are we supposed to want to play this game because of this ad?

It's literally aimed at people who want to leave the real world and enter a virtual reality fantasy. It's obviously something that should be for children, but it's targeted at adults.

The ad is, unintentionally, hilarious too.

I mean, look at this guy. He knows his wife is crazy. It's a grown woman with a TV strapped to her face.

But at least he gets some time to read the paper.

And then this dude, he thinks it's super cute how his wife would rather be in a fantasy world than spend time with him:

A society that sees virtual reality as preferable to real reality is really a sad thing indeed. Especially one where people don't have legs.

I doubt this is going to catch on any time soon, but if it does... God help us.
