This is too cute, you guys. Colin Kaepernick, the guy who thinks playing football is slave labor, just penned a letter to the New York Jets asking to join their practice squad.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback wrote a letter to Jets general manager Joe Douglas asking to join their practice squad.

Their practice squad!

Incredibly sad!

Quick question before we move on: Why did he have a rapper release this on social media?

Like, does this J Cole guy have a larger following than Kaep? He must, otherwise this just doesn't make sense.

Okay, this letter is full of absolute gold even the writers at The Babylon Bee couldn't come up with, so I'm just gonna give you the entire letter in full because it's that good:

Honestly, I very much dislike Colin Kaepernick, but this is just sad and weak, truly. Like, "I would be honored and extremely grateful for the opportunity to come in and lead the practice squad." Incredible line right there. Like, I want to laugh, but I feel bad.

Or, "Worst case scenario, you see what I have to offer and you're not that impressed." Yeah, let's just go with that, Colin. We're not impressed, save us all some time.

Or this gem: "As a final point, I would like to add this. Unlike many of the veteran QB's that have been named in the media, I've never retired or stopped training. My training schedule has remained the same for 6 years; Monday through Friday, 5am-8am training on the field and in the weight room."

Bro, you've been out of the league for six years and you're still training like this?

Didn't you make a video comparing the NFL draft to slave auctions??

Have you considered the Canadian league? Cuz no team in the NFL is gonna take a chance on you. You're a great athlete, sure, but nobody cares about athletic abilities when your number one attribute is protesting the American Flag.

It's sad, but I think Colin's finally coming around to understand that he messed up big time with his little kneeling gig. He gave up his dream of playing football for activism, and I think if he could he'd take it all back and start from scratch, without the kneeling, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
