When the FBI director says something like this you should probably pay attention.
His exact words as he explained the "elevated" risk of terrorism currently facing our nation:
We also cannot and do not discount the possibility that Hamas or another foreign terrorist organization may exploit the current conflict to conduct attacks here on our own soil.
Stuff's getting pretty serious out here, folks.
(It'd be nice if the FBI director and the Homeland Security director could maybe talk about closing that wide-open border that their boss has kept open. Just sayin'.)
What particularly bothers me about this is Hezbollah's presence in South America. We already know that fellas on the terror watchlist are being caught trying to cross our border; we just don't know how many of those men have slipped across unnoticed.
Something to keep an eye on here.
A little more from the story for ya:
"The reality is that the terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023," Wray told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee during a hearing.
"But the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole 'nother level since the horrific terrorist attacks committed by Hamas against innocent people in Israel a few weeks ago."
Stay frosty out there, boys and girls.
