"Lousiana man."

Who was it? James? Michael? John? Cousin Ed??

From The Times:

The complaint described the man, identified in court documents as Mahmoud Amin Ya'qub al-Muhtadi, as an operative for a paramilitary group in Gaza that has fought alongside Hamas.

Ohhhhh. Louisiana man "Mahmoud Amin Ya'qub al-Muhtadi."

Right.

It accused him of organizing other armed fighters in Gaza and crossing into Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, following the first wave of Hamas militants.

Al-Muhtadi (again, a Louisiana man) lives in or near Lafayette and is expected to appear before a judge on Friday.

The FBI says records show Al-Muhtadi was in Gaza on October 7, 2023, and his phone messages show him preparing weapons, body armor, and plans to cross the Israeli border.

In the criminal complaint, the F.B.I. agent presented transcripts of Mr. al-Muhtadi's telephone calls on the morning of Oct. 7, 2023. In one instance, Mr. al-Muhtadi told a man that morning to 'get ready' and that 'the borders are open,' the complaint said. Mr. al-Muhtadi told another man to 'bring the rifles' to participate in the attack, according to the complaint.

Another message from him read, 'If you have a full magazine, bring it to me,' and another asked for a bulletproof vest for someone else, according to the complaint.

That same day, Al-Muhtadi's cell phone pinged an Israeli cell tower; proof, the FBI says, that he had joined the terror assault.

Dozens of civilians were slaughtered near that tower, including Americans.

The complaint also said that Mr. al-Muhtadi's phone, which used the Gaza-based mobile carrier Jawwal, was connected to an Israeli cell tower later that morning. While Mr. al-Muhtadi has not been accused of killing anyone, the complaint said that at least 60 people, including some Americans, were killed that day in an Israeli kibbutz near the cell tower.

Al-Muhtadi is also connected with Hamas military ally National Resistance Brigades, according to the FBI.

Despite this, he was able to illegally enter the U.S. under the Biden administration by lying on his visa.

A person named Mahmoud Almuhtadi, living in Cairo, electronically signed a U.S. visa application on June 26, 2024, the complaint said. The application indicated that he had been born in Gaza in 1991, lived there until March 2024 and had no history of serving in a paramilitary unit or engaging in terrorist activities.

Translation: Terrorists can just lie and American officials will let them into the country!

(How many are living near you right now, do you think?)

Mr. al-Muhtadi entered the United States through Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Sept. 12, 2024, the complaint added, citing Customs and Border Protection records.

He just flew right into Texas after helping to kill the Jews. He then spent some time in Oklahoma.

  • Oh, and did I mention his kids are here too?

  • And that he got access to a gun?

  • And that he got hired at a restaurant?

The complaint said that Mr. al-Muhtadi resided in Tulsa, Okla., as of May 2025. There, he posted photographs of himself and his children posing with a Glock pistol, the complaint said. In June, F.B.I. agents located him in Lafayette, La., where he appeared to be working at a restaurant, according to the complaint.

To sum up: A Muslim Palestinian charged with slaughtering Jewish civilians was able to easily fool American security protocols, live in three separate states, gain access to firearms, and get a job illegally.

Quite the accomplishment for a Louisiana man.
