Fisher-Price is releasing a collectible set of their classic Little People toys based on RuPaul, the host of "RuPaul's Drag Race," a popular show where this guy in a dress goes in search of "America's next drag superstar."
Apparently, RuPaul is the reigning monarch, if you follow that sort of thing, which fortunately I do not.
But now your children can. Yay!
Fisher-Price announced the limited edition Little People set on Wednesday, saying,
RuPaul is a pop-culture icon who has been hailed as the best-dressed queen on TV and is coming to life in a whole new way for lip-syncing, runway-slaying fans.
I just really hope those fans aren't a part of Little People's target audience, which, as a reminder, is children between the ages of 1 and 5.
The set includes two figurines in drag and one in an "off the runway" look.
The 3-inch tall Little People Figurines look more feminine than the show's namesake, but Fisher-Price likely only had two body types to work with (I'll let you guess what those are).
Fisher-Price has released a wide variety of collector's edition Little People in the past, including some more adult-themed ones, such as The Office or Golden Girls characters, but a sexualized drag queen set featuring a guy living out his fantasies crosses a whole new line.
