Yep, Pattie Gonia, who you may know from the really gay North Face ads and the really gay Audobon Society and the really gay REI outdoor gear company, is now one of the faces of National Geographic.

This dude who likes to go into nature dressed in about 3 tons of makeup, heels, wigs, and a mustache was named one of the travelers of the year by National Geographic.

This dude is the most extravagantly dressed and most made-up person on this NatGeo outdoors lovers list that LITERALLY INCLUDES DOLLY PARTON!

Artist, environmentalist, and drag queen Wyn Wiley — known professionally as Pattie Gonia — helps LGBTQ+ youth discover the wonders of the outdoors. As founder of the nonprofit Outdoorist Oath, she [sic] brings the queer community together in the parks and wild spaces of Oregon, her [sic] home state.

Her [sic] feel-good music videos address environmental justice and pride in identity, and include collaborators such as cellist Yo-Yo Ma and Indigenous trans musician Quinn Christopherson.

'Every year my community fundraises to send 10 queer youth on a fully scholarshipped backpacking trip,"'she [sic] says. 'One of the attendees told me and the group around the fire, "Being on this trip has helped me reclaim a childhood I didn't get to have." That's everything to me.'

It's just a dude dressed as a girl trying to get kids away from home and sleeping out in the woods with him!

What a hero!
