If a school near you is still closed, it's not for the sake of the kids.
Take the example of Berkeley Federation of Teachers president Matt Meyer, who was caught dropping his kid off at private preschool. Matt has been super vocal about keeping schools closed, but it's apparently okay for him to go about his day while you remain locked up with your depressed kids:
I mean, seriously bro?
The news ruffled more than a few feathers:
Matt responded by saying "there major differences in running a small preschool and a 10,000 student public school district."
Yeah, the difference is that those public schools are money pits and the unions want a bit more of that sweet taxpayer money before getting back to the work of i̶n̶d̶o̶c̶t̶r̶i̶n̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ teaching our kids.
I guess Matt knows more than the CDC, which has repeatedly said that kids in schools are at less risk of even contracting COVID than if they were just out and about in the wider community. I guess he's also an expert on the massive problems that isolation is causing them as they hide in their basements from a disease that statistically has no chance of harming them!
