If you want to know why Democrats are freaking out, just take a look at how many Americans have a "dismal view" of Joe Biden's economy

If you find yourself mulling over why the Biden administration is going all-out for crazy schemes like forgiving trillions in student debt and administering synthetic female hormones to young boys and all that other stuff, look no further than the nearest econ poll, because the numbers are really bad:

The US public's view of the nation's economy is the worst it's been in a decade, a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS finds, with many Americans also saying they feel financial strain in their own lives.

That pessimism also reflects on President Joe Biden, whose ratings for handling the economy remain sharply negative. A majority of US adults say his policies have hurt the economy, and 8 in 10 say the government isn't doing enough to combat inflation.

Only 23% rate economic conditions as even somewhat good, down from 37% in December and 54% last April. The last time public perception of the economy was this poor in CNN's polling was November 2011, when 18% called economic conditions good.

Now I want you to consider carefully what these numbers look like to any seasoned Democratic strategist who's looking ahead to the 2022 midterms. In short, those numbers look like this:

Just one big nuke, a complete and total annihilation at the polls.

The worst part: Even the Democratic-friendly media is unable or unwilling to hide all the rotten news from voters:

Americans also say they are more likely to hear bad news than good news about the economy, by nearly a 4-to-1 margin: 89% say they've heard at least some bad news, compared with 23% who've heard at least some good news.

Yeah I mean, again:

If they're this desperate with six months still to go, imagine what they're going to be trying by the time the October surprise comes around.
