I am not kidding, this illegal immigrant from Venezuela tried to rob a bank in Sandusky, Ohio, but he was unable to complete the job because he didn't speak English. He even used a translator app on his phone to get the message across to the teller.
"Get the money. Put the money in the bag."
(Así es como se dice, "Obtengan el dinero, pongan el dinero en la bolsa," en inglés.) Just a tip.
Okay, here's the scoop:
The attempted robbery happened April 4 around 11:30 a.m. A man called police saying the suspect was in the bank, not talking and trying to get around the counter.
The I-Team obtained bank security video that police says shows the suspect holding up his phone to the tellers. Police say the suspect did not speak English and was using a translator app to tell tellers "get the money" and "put the money in the bag."
…
The suspect is facing charges of attempted robbery, attempted theft and criminal trespassing.
The chief added that federal officials also have questions for the suspect.
"It has been brought to my attention customs and border control put a hold on him," Oliver said.
Took bro waaay too long to rob that bank, so he just gave up.
Sandusky Police Chief Jared Oliver says in his 20 years in law enforcement he's never seen anyone use a translator app to try to rob a bank. And hey, there's a first time for everything!
Just great stuff right there!
Hey, maybe before they release this guy without bail they can teach him how to properly rob a bank in English.
Could be a real learning experience ...
