In extremely unfunny SNL monologue, Chris Rock lectures us on why we need a whole new system of government in America

I have to be fair to Chris Rock: he made three pretty funny jokes before he started his lecture this past weekend on SNL. Three jokes, however, which came at the expense of people who are either in bad health or dead because of it (Donald Trump, Chris Farley, and random people who need medical assistance). Do better Chris Rock.

Here's the aforementioned lecture:

Let us be clear here. Chris Rock just called for THE END OF AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT. And he called for it on Saturday Night Live! NEWS FLASH: even though SNL is rarely funny anymore, and they always just sit there and talk politics all night, there are many...MANY!!!...left-leaning people who take the show seriously. I don't understand this, but it's a real thing.

So this is a big deal. And this is what the left does: they say something absolutely absurd very loud so everyone can hear. Something that happens to fit into their agenda for the future. And they just check out the reaction to see what people think about it, then they go from there. Maybe people liked it, so let's get the ball rolling. Or maybe they didn't, so let's try that again in a couple months.

I can't even get into how baseless Chris Rock's argument is here, because it didn't need much. All it needed was a little "orange man bad" here, and some "rich people are evil" there, and voila, every lefty on earth was like, "Yeah, I like this idea, WOOOOHOOOO!"

I'd love to take up like six pages arguing against what Chris Rock said, but it would be a waste of time. The way our political system in America was originally set up is simply amazing. And the founders feared we'd reach this point. So what I think Chris is trying to say is that our system is really messed up, and some really bad people have their hands wrapped around it. AND HE'S RIGHT! (Except for the fact that he thinks the bad people are Trump and only Trump. But the bad people have been around way longer than Trump, and it seems to me that these bad people actually HATE Trump, so there's that). But just because our system is messed up doesn't mean we need a whole new system. We just need to actually start following some of the rules our founders brought to the table 233 years ago. Maybe then certain people in government wouldn't have so much power, Mr. Chris Rock.
