Not only did the judge in Trump's "hush money" trial tell the jurors they can mix-and-match charges to convict Trump without everyone agreeing, but the judge has denied the jury access to the 50+ pages of instructions that they need for deliberations.

Even far (far) left NBC thinks this is odd.

Judge Juan Merchan allowed the jurors to go home after they kept getting confused during deliberations. I'm sure no one tried to pressure them to convict Orange Man Bad overnight.

As a note, in April 2023, CNN was surprised by Judge Merchan's open political donation to the Democratic Party in 2020, even though it was only $35.

'While the amounts here are minimal, it's surprising that a sitting judge would make political donations of any size to a partisan candidate or cause,' said Elie Honig, a senior CNN legal analyst and former federal prosecutor.

$15 of that donation went directly to Joe Biden's political campaign.
