Grace Productions, part of John MacArthur's Grace to You ministry, is releasing a documentary featuring the brave pastors, including MacArthur, who ignored government mandates and met in churches around the world during lockdowns.
During a premiere event for the feature-length movie, John MacArthur had this to say about his reason for making the film:
I wanted to produce something that shows how the Lord blesses those who are faithful. For the purpose of the future. I wanted some pastors and leaders to see this and feel guilty.
The movie features John MacArthur, James Coates and Tim Stephens (who were jailed in Canada for refusing to shut down), and other pastors around the world who were persecuted for meeting during the Covid lockdowns.
John MacArthur led the way for many Christian leaders during the 2020 lockdown by reopening his church after it was clear that the Covid lockdowns were not serious.
When California welcomed BLM riots and still demanded churches to close, MacArthur had this message for the governor:
MacArthur also faced down against LA County and won an $800,000 lawsuit against the Board of Supervisors after the country tried to shut Grace Community Church down.
