Kirk Cameron finally got a library in Indianapolis to let him read his new book for children, "As You Grow."
The event drew over 2,500 people according to Cameron's publisher:
Here are some videos of the reading:

Why did all these people turn out for a guy reading a kids' book?

We were in the lines. Everyone around me was there because they wanted to show their support for these values. People of all kinds of backgrounds, kind and patient with each other. It was so encouraging to see!!! Lines EVERYWHERE!!! We all knew we wouldn't make it in, but stayed, not because he is an actor, but because of what he's promoting. It was awesome!
Indianapolis is the first of 50 libraries that have granted permission for Cameron to read his book; most are still refusing to let a book on faith be read at their locations, while simultaneously promoting things like drag-queen story hour for children.
Matt Walsh joked that if Cameron had been willing to wear women's underwear, libraries would be lining up to host him.
Instead, by holding firm to his faith, parents and kids lined up by the thousands at their local library.
