Lefties are freaking out because Tennessee Republicans have grown a pair, want to expel the 3 Dems who joined the mob that stormed the state capitol

Oh no! Democrats are going to have to face legal consequences for their actions! How totally unfair!

For the first time that I can remember, Republicans look like they've woken up to the reality that we are in a battle and that they can't continue to roll over so that the Democrats will like them.

When protestors took over the Tennessee Capitol and impeded state business, Democrats were at the forefront of the crowd, including three Democrats who got carried away and are now having to face the consequences.

From The Post Millennial:

Reps. Gloria Johnson of Knoxville, Justin Jones of Nashville, and Justin Pearson of Memphis interrupted last Thursday's legislative session by approaching the podium without being recognized to speak and using bullhorns to share their message. The trio also led protestors in the galleries in a series of chants.Members of the GOP decried their actions, with one member going so far as to refer to it as an "insurrection." Resolutions calling for their expulsion were introduced Monday, with Republicans arguing that, they "did knowingly and intentionally bring disorder and dishonor to the House of Representatives through their individual and collective actions."

Here is the Speaker of the House in Tennessee announcing the actions he is taking against the Democrats who led the protests and neglected their elected duty:

And more of the chaos:

Three Tennessee Democrats led a takeover of the capitol, impeding House business, and used a bullhorn to stir up riots in the gallery from the House floor.

Not only is this in poor taste and disrespectful to the victims of the Nashville shooting, which was the subject of the congressional meeting, but it also broke all the rules of decorum for the Tennessee House.

Here's Memphis Rep. Justin Pearson, the man at the center of this fiasco, clearly taking over the floor, shouting into a bullhorn:

The Democrats are freaking out because they're being held accountable. The three protest leaders have been booted from their committees already and the vote for expulsion is scheduled for Thursday.

"They were trying to incite people, they incited people in the balcony to be disorderly and disruptive to shut us down or try to make us adjourn, which I refused to adjourn," (House Speaker Cameron) Sexton said. "We finished the people's work."

Despite Sexton's repeated warnings that the inciters could face consequences for their role in the commotion, the Democrats showed no remorse for their actions. Instead, they bragged about their involvement for days following the event and doubled down on their decision to disrupt the lower chamber to "elevate the voices in our community."

Tennessee, don't back down. Don't let them guilt you into taking it easy on these Democrats.

Kick every single one of them out. By their own standard, they led an insurrection on the House floor and they need to face the same consequences any Republican would.
