Update 10:28 a.m.:
Local media is reporting 5 dead and 6 injured at the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville. LMPD says "the suspected shooter has been neutralized."
Witnesses from the scene describe a man opening fire with a long gun in and/or near a crowded conference room.
"He just started firing," he said. "I didn't see his face. We were in the conference room. Whoever was next to me got shot, their blood's on me."
Another witness, who works in an office building facing the bank, said the shooter and law enforcement officers got into a "shootout." They said civilians were being carried out.
Original story: Authorities have confirmed multiple casualties at an active shooter situation Monday morning near Old National Bank and Slugger Field in Louisville, Kentucky. Reports indicate the shooting happened at a bank. Dozens of police cars were reported on site.
Mayor Craig Greenberg told residents to avoid the area until further notice.
