What's that saying about the wheels of justice?
Doris Worrell was shot and killed at her family's business in Douglas, Georgia, called "Jon's Sports Park," a family-fun park (now called "The Fun Place"). The news shocked the community as Doris and her husband, Jon, were well known and very active in the city.
At the time, Doris and Jon had three young kids. Despite appearing to be a well put-together couple, however, investigators soon learned that the Worrell's marriage was on the rocks, and an adulterous relationship with the family's live-in nanny was at the top of the list of problems.

After Doris' death, Jon moved to Florida.
He then moved to Costa Rica, where he was spotted with, you guessed it, Paola Yarberry.
The two "raised the children as if they were their own."
For nearly two decades, the children had no contact with any members of their mother's family.
Meanwhile, investigators questioned two men, Glidden Humberto Rodriguez and Brandon Eugene Cage, believing them suspects in Doris' murder, but there was never enough evidence to convict either.
A break in the case happened when the relationship between Paola and Jon soured, leading him to move to Missouri.
During this time, a new [Georgia Bureau of Investigation] agent was assigned to this case and devised a creative investigative game plan.
The GBI and Coffee County Sheriff's Office executed the investigation which led them to Costa Rica where they say Paula [sic] eventually cooperated.
Jon has now been hit with multiple murder charges and people from the Douglas community have thoughts:
Doris' sister LeAnn told her nieces and nephew, now grown adults, that they want to reconnect with them.
'We've missed out on their childhoods, on their high school graduations, we've missed out on their college graduations, watching them play sports. We've missed it all. It's not just me, it's my children, my husband, the cousins in the family. We miss them. And if any of you are watching today, I would like to say please come home. You have a home with us. We welcome you with open arms. We love you. We have always loved you. We pray for you. I know you have not been able to know that information, so I'm telling that to you now. We love you, and we want what's best for you. And we want you back.'
Praying for justice to be done and this family to be reunited.
