Maryland woman Moesha Gardener texted her husband that a strange man had broken into their house, and she sent him a picture of the guy sitting on their couch.
But none of it was real.
Police say Gardener had used AI to generate the intruder as part of a TikTok prank that she hoped would get her some online attention.
Gardener waited eagerly with her camera trained on her door so she could catch her husband's reaction when he burst in to save her from the home intruder.

However, DC News Now reports that Gardener didn't get to video her husband's reaction; instead she videoed the reaction of eight police officers crashing into her house with guns at the ready.

It turns out Gardener's husband loves his wife and called the police, hoping they could save her if he couldn't get there in time.
‘Our units were dispatched,' Lt. Ari Elkin with MCPD said. ‘But it's expedited because they believed that there was someone in this person's apartment that was potentially going to do harm to them.
‘It was at that time that they were advised that this was some kind of prank on TikTok.
Gardener was arrested and charged with two counts of making a false statement. She has been released on a $10,000 bond.
There's been no word about her husband's reaction, though I imagine he is not enthused.
‘It's incredibly immature,' Elkin said. ‘I think, for anyone of any age to really participate in those.'
