Imagine the kind of money you have to have to make $250,000 from posting a video of expensive cars, then give it away to random people for the heck of it.

(I know at least a few of you just clicked to reply to that!)
Here's the video the YouTuber posted to X:
Just a cool 157 million views or so.
The same video got 215 million views over on YouTube (and it's been live for 4 months).
Previously, Mr. Beast (AKA Jimmy Donaldson) said his videos cost millions each to make, and that X wouldn't be a good YouTube replacement for him.
That may be for the moment, but I have to wonder if it's because of the targeted campaign to destroy X's attractiveness to advertisers. Even though YouTube is hyper-woke and packed full of ads I don't like or are straight-up scams, big companies feel more comfortable advertising there. It takes big names to make them feel more comfortable spending money on X.
The Catch-22 here is that in order to have more big names, top-tier content creators need higher payouts, which won't happen without advertisers.
You'd think creators like Mr. Beast would be interested in investigating why a viable competitor to other Big Tech platforms - one that could be an alternative cash flow that benefits creators by making platforms compete for their business - is the target of an assassination campaign.
I guess Jimmy is too busy raking in that Google cash and celebrating his best bud's decision to abandon his wife and live as a woman!
