NBA ratings sink 24% to all-time low for the All-Star Game. I wonder why?

Big league sports continue to learn the lesson of "go woke, go broke" at record speed.

The NBA's All-Star Game last weekend had a dismal showing, bringing the league to a new low:

"Sunday's NBA All-Star Game, which included the Dunk Contest at halftime, averaged a combined 3.1 rating and 5.94 million viewers across TNT and TBS — down 24% in ratings and 18% in viewership from last year (4.1, 7.28M) and the lowest rated and least-watched edition of the game," said Sports Media Watch.

To be fair, the game was at the same time as Meghan Markle accusing the British Monarchy of racism, so the usual race-peddling of the NBA probably seemed a bit bland.

Still, the numbers ain't good, and the NBA is already hemorrhaging billions from the lack of fans packed into stadiums. Even with a captive audience – with many fans still locked down by their local governments – their ratings continue to spiral.

I wonder why?

And remember when all those rich athletes walked off their courts last summer to protest the sYsTeMiC rAciSm of the free nation where they live in the top 1%? Remember all the endorsements they got from totally unpolarizing public figures for that sacrifice at the Altar of Woke?

The NBA has had a long slide into full-on Wokism, even before they moved their 2017 All-Star Game out of North Carolina because the state passed a law saying men couldn't use the women's restroom. The full-on endorsement of the entirely radical, Marxist BLM platform was hardly a surprise if you were paying attention.

Still, most people don't pay attention to politics in sports. They tend to watch sports to avoid politics. But when millionaire athletes lecture you for months on end about your rACiSm, then praise places like Communist China, it begins to get under your skin. The entertainment is no longer entertaining.

Good job, NBA!
