CDC releases new guidelines saying you can vote in person if you have COVID
· Nov 2, 2020 · NottheBee.com

Don't worry America, mass protests are no longer the only place you cannot catch coronavirus. The CDC now says that you can go out and vote, even if you are infected.

I know it's been a confusing 8 months so I've put together a quick list of things you should and should not do during this pandemic:

  • Church? No Way!
  • School? Better not!
  • Work? Are you crazy? With this death rate?
  • Funeral? Better keep it to 10 people max!
  • Eat inside? Be very careful!
  • Drink inside? Don't even dare!
  • Go to a gym? HAHAHA
  • Vote in person with COVID? YOU BETTER!

According to the CDC:

Voters have the right to vote even if they are sick or under quarantine for COVID-19, says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

If you do have COVID, they recommend telling a poll worker once you are there and taking necessary precautions including wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others and washing hands or using hand sanitizer before and after voting.

CDC Spokesman Jason McDonald told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

"CDC's recommendations for isolating someone who has COVID-19 or quarantining someone who was in close contact with a person with COVID-19 would not preclude them from exercising their right to vote"

Thank you for the clarification, CDC. Where would we be without your guidance on what is or is not acceptable in this pandemic?
