A couple from Omaha, Nebraska, went deer hunting, but the lady bagged more than a buck.
Not only did Samantha Camenzind's boyfriend give her the first shot at the large deer they spotted on a trail camera south of Lincoln, but he also surprised her with a big ring!
What else could a woman want?!
Samantha and Cole have been dating for the past three years and have bonded over their love of hunting. Cole told the Omaha World-Herald that he had no problem giving Samantha that first shot.
I was just as excited as she was when she got it.
Samantha, 28, got the prized trophy buck with 11 tines on one side of its antlers and nine on the other, and with a buck like that, they just HAD TO get a quick photoshoot in.

Cole Bures, 32, told Samantha that he wanted a professional photographer to take the photos to commemorate the big moment, but to Samantha's surprise, he had an even bigger moment planned!
Halfway through the photoshoot, Cole got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Haters will say a hunting proposal isn't exactly "romantic" (some of you aren't preparing to survive in the post-apocalyptic wasteland and it shows) but these two wouldn't have changed a thing. Samantha called her dad in tears to tell him and cleaned herself up before the photographer arrived.
Everybody has been saying they would marry him, too, if he let them shoot this big of a deer.
Cole got the idea from a friend of his who planned a similar proposal during a hunting trip in Alaska - and their friends were stunned when they saw the photos!
I don't know if they were more shocked we got engaged or the size of the deer.

It was perfect, but I still didn't expect it. It's something we both love to do. I guess I couldn't imagine it going any other way.
The two are considering having the wedding next fall (but definitely not during hunting season).
