Pat Sajak's retirement gig after leaving "Wheel of Fortune"? Chairman of the Board of Trustees at conservative Hillsdale College ✊

Pat Sajak, announced he will be retiring from "Wheel of Fortune" after its 41st season this year, but his next move isn't the typical celebrity retirement plan.

If I was retiring from a gameshow where I gave away trips to the most exotic and interesting locations on earth, I would probably spend my retirement on the beach in Hawaii or something.

But Sajak plans to focus his time as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan – a conservative school known for being explicitly anti-woke in its approach to teaching classical education.

Sajak was Vice Chairman starting in 2003 and then became the Chairman in 2019. According to Hillsdale, Sajak's retirement from TV doesn't mean he's retiring from his work at the college.

"For decades, Pat Sajak has been an icon of radio and television. There are few things more intimate than appearing in the living rooms of countless Americans every evening. We know that he will be missed and congratulate him on his well-deserved retirement. Hillsdale College is fortunate to have an even closer relationship with Mr. Sajak. Since 2019, we have benefitted from his wisdom, intellect, and good humor as chairman of Hillsdale's board of trustees. We look forward to continuing our important work together and to what we are sure will be a bright future for Mr. Sajak and his family," the university said in a statement.

Hillsdale is one of the very few good colleges left in the United States. It actually educates instead of churning out woke robots. It's one of the toughest schools to get into and the academic standards are rigorous.

I'm glad Pat has something important to keep him busy.
