WATCH: Pennsylvania high school students stage walkout in protest of transgender bathroom rule, citing safety concerns for female students

You gotta give it up for these kids; it's a really tough time to stand up for your beliefs and they deserve a lot of credit here.

Here's the video:

These kids — hundreds of them across the Perkiomen School District — just up and walked out of their classrooms on Friday after the school board failed to enact Proposed Policy 720, a policy which would've required students to use the bathroom that corresponds with their biological sex.

Some words from the organizer of the walkout:

"Kids were upset. Girls… we wanted to protect them. They were upset. They didn't want men in their bathroom," John Ott, who organized the walkout, told FOX News on Monday.

This was the main issue, and it will continue to be as long as we let this continue. Boys can be disgusting creatures, and when you give them access to the girl's room, they're going to take advantage of that. Many of these "trans women" we're seeing today consider themselves lesbians and that's why this protest is happening. Men are attracted to women, even when they're dressed up as "trans women."

Proposed Policy 720 came about after a female student complained of sharing a bathroom with a biological male, though it's not confirmed that this was, in fact, a boy.

When FOX News reached out to the district for comment, the Perkiomen Valley School Board's president said: "Although I voted differently than the majority of the board, as board president, I respect the outcome of the vote and those who voted against expediting the policy. I also appreciate our student body, those who came to our previous board meeting to vote, and the 300+ students who used their First Amendment right to voice their opinion in favor of the policy during their protest on Friday."

Hopefully when the policy comes up for a vote again the results are different. It is, by the way, the school board's job to listen to their constituents — these 300+ students included. Several of the board members are up for reelection in November, so they better get it together here soon or they'll be outta there.
