The saga of the viral "Chick-Fil-A Sauce Girl" is one of the weirdest stories of our time ๐Ÿ˜‚

"No Chick-Fil-A Sauce???"

That worker's name is Gina.

When I first saw the video, I thought Gina had an honest reaction to someone ordering Chick-Fil-A without Chick-Fil-A Sauce.

(Some of you think Chick-Fil-A Sauce isn't good and I would beg you to repent.)

But what started as a funny reaction turned into an internet-wide meme. People started calling the restaurant and coming in to ask for photos with Gina. The manager got so upset that she was taken off the schedule for a bit.

At this point, I think a few of you probably believe I'm overblowing how viral this went. It's not like people are drawing paintings of her as their muse, right??

And it's not like the kids are imitating her when they [checks notes] get out of surgery, right?

Or that young men want to marry her and start a new nation with her.

PEOPLE ARE SEEING HER EVERYWHERE:

Here's the thing: Gina, who is 17, is a self-described actress and this video was taken by her friend.

In other words:

It was a skit.

A skit that's propelled Gina to the limelight.

She's officially signed with a talent agency because she made a funny skit that almost got her fired from CFA!!

We live in wild times, ladies and gents.

Let me get ahead of you in the comments.

I'm happy for Gina - becoming a viral sensation for something that's not scandalous in 2024 is an accomplishment!

But I'm also worried about the kids (and the rest of us too).

When I see girls imitating Chick-Fil-A Girl after surgery and lads with her face stamped on their subconscious, it makes me think of this:

The things we see will shape how we think, and how we think will shape how we act. That's not always bad: Copying CFA girl is pretty wholesome in the scheme of things and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

But it should make you think: How have you been shaped today?

I'll give you another reason why you should pay attention to these silly viral stories. From that article above:

Translation: Monkey see, monkey do.

It's an age-old principle they really don't want us talking about when it comes to certain topics!
