Biden's FBI to detain Blaze reporter for J6 reporting. Aren't you glad you don't live in a banana republic, comrades?

Remember when Donald Trump was the worst president ever and was an enemy of the First Amendment and regularly attacked a free and fair press because he'd call Jim Acosta "fake news"?

What do you call it when a government starts arresting real journalists?

Steve Baker, who works for The Blaze, has been ordered to turn himself in to the FBI in Dallas because of his reporting on January 6th. Baker explains in this thread:

Remind me, how many journalists did Trump arrest?

Or did he just call them mean names?

(Baker's lawyer) Bright told Blaze News that he's 'disturbed' about what's transpiring with his client, especially given that Baker has been 'in full compliance' all this time. Bright also said the federal government 'three-plus years later going after people who were legitimate functioning journalists that day' appears designed to have an 'absolute chilling effect.'

'I'm not a depressive person, but I'm not happy about this,' Baker added to Blaze News. 'I have prayed, "Lord, let this cup pass from me," but apparently it's not going to.' However, he also said it will be a 'relief' to get this first step over with.

These are for unknown charges! They won't even tell him or his lawyers what they're bringing him in for until he appears before the magistrate!

Steve did enter the Capitol in his capacity as a journalist, like many other journalists and photographers, after hundreds of other individuals had posted pictures and videos from the J6 event that, apparently, contradicted the narrative.

No matter what they charge Baker with, this is his crime.

But don't worry! The Biden White House is a return to normalcy!

"Democracy" is safe!
