An art gallery in Brooklyn held an event on Wednesday that allowed patrons to control a robot dog that could shoot paintballs at a wall.
The performance art company MSCHF called the event "Spot's Revenge." During the event, patrons could log into an app on their phone to control the robot "Spot" for two minutes, walking him around a room, destroying objects in his path, and shooting paintballs every which way.
The owner of the "Spot" robot is Boston Dynamics, and they are not happy with the gallery's use of their product.
Considering that Boston Dynamics was originally funded by the military and it's creating robot tech that will undoubtedly be used for warfare whether they like it or not, it's understandable why the company wants to distance itself from such a display.
