Sen. Raphael Warnock, a Georgia pastor whose church requires proof of Covid vaccination to attend worship and who has regularly promoted abortion without restriction, socialist policies, court packing, and defunding the police, has won his runoff election in Georgia for US Senate.

Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock defeated Republican football star Herschel Walker on Tuesday in Georgia's Senate runoff election, NBC News projects, handing President Joe Biden and his party a key win.

Warnock's victory will give Democrats an outright majority in the Senate after two years under a 50-50 divide, with Vice President Kamala Harris casting tie-breaking votes.

The win cements President Joe Biden's unexpected midterm success, allowing his party to grow the majority in the Senate.

Warnock, who has refused to denounce Marxism, praised antisemitic groups, eulogized brutal dictator Fidel Castro, and called for the legal dismemberment of children made in God's image, responded to the victory with this tweet:
