One Texas family has gone viral after their over-the-top theme for a girls' night out resulted in almost 8 million views on Instagram and a trip to the Today Show.

Alexis Houston of where else but Houston, Texas posted a video of herself, her mom, her four sisters, and her sister-in-law all going out to dinner wearing their wedding dresses. The seven ladies turned heads as they paraded through Houston in their poofy white gowns, two with nursing babies along for the evening.

We decided that the most expensive dresses we owned deserved to be worn & enjoyed for more than just one day in our lives😆 we've decided to make this a yearly tradition😍😂We met together before the dinner to tape each other into our dresses😂😂😂 #mombodsquad100/10 recommend doing this! Absolutely SO fun!!

The six sisters and their mom Terri, decided their most cherished dresses could use a night on the town, and since they already had a monthly "Sister Date" planned, they decided to use the opportunity to make a special memory out of it.

The sister's mom, Terri, wasn't able to find her 1980s wedding dress for the outing, but she borrowed one of her daughter's white prom dresses and came along for the "Sister Date" as the girls call their monthly family girls' night out.

The only other one not in a wedding dress was the baby of the family, 18-year-old Kate, who found a white dress the day of so she could match the rest of the family. But Kate will certainly have a lot of hand-me-down dress options to choose from when the time comes for her wedding.

Sister Hannah Joy said of the evening,

Going viral wasn't our intention that night. We just wanted to pull out our dresses, relive memories and make ones.

I think it's safe to say that they've succeded in doing just that! Now, excuse me while I go plan for my next Moms Night Out.
