Both chambers of Ohio legislature override Gov. DeWine's veto on bill that protects kids and girls' sports

You love to see it.

Despite Mike DeWine's best efforts, the mutilation of children is now banned in Ohio.

On the 11th, the Ohio House overrode DeWine's veto of a bill that protects kids from the butchery known as "gender-affirming care," and on January 24th, the Ohio Senate did the same.

It is now the law of the land.

The bill restricts the use of puberty blockers, hormone therapy or surgeries for transgender youth. The bill does not restrict the use of this care on non-transgender youth, and specifically includes an exception for intersex youth with ambiguous or abnormal sex characteristics.

Puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgery on confused kids who think they're in the wrong body has been outlawed and Ohio has taken a great step in efforts to protect children.

The ban also bans boys from the girls' locker room, but ABC News is out here with garbage lies like this:

The bill also would ban transgender girls [sic] from participating in sports.

All the boys have to do is go compete against other boys, ABC. You're really hurt that the lads can't trounce the ladies anymore, aren't ya?

It would replace the state's current transgender sport participation policies, which require a transgender girl to complete a minimum of one year of hormone treatment or demonstrate that she did not possess physical or physiological advantages over genetic females.

Oh, so you mean a scientifically accurate policy has replaced an ideological one based on fairy dust? Got it.

It's worth noting that Gov. DeWine tried to save face after everyone called him a clown. The man issued a very limited executive order, but no thanks to him, the full ban is now in effect.

God bless the Ohio legislature. โœŠ
