Gov. Greg Abbott signs bill making it a crime to illegally enter Texas

This is a law that without a doubt should not have to be written. But with Biden's Open Border, well, somebody's gotta step up and do something. Enter Governor Greg Abbott.

Welp, if you want to see a liberal cry today just read them this:

Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a bill on Monday that makes it a crime to illegally enter the state, giving state officials more power to take steps to secure the border amid the ongoing illegal immigration crisis …

The law, which will authorize local police to handle immigration enforcement by making it a state misdemeanor to cross the Texas-Mexico border illegally, was first sent to Abbott by Texas Republicans in November. The law will allow Texas to deport those who cross into the state back to Mexico, which would be a direct challenge to the catch-and-release policy currently practiced by the Biden administration.

According to the governor's office, the law will create "a criminal offense for illegal entry into this state from a foreign nation. The law cracks down on repeated attempts to enter Texas by creating the offense of illegal reentry and penalizes offenders with up to 20 years in prison. It also provides the mechanism to order an offender to return to the foreign nation from which the person entered or attempted to enter this state. The law provides civil immunity and indemnification for local and state government officials, employees, and contractors for lawsuits resulting from the enforcement of these provisions."

This is exactly what America needs right now. The border is seeing record numbers of illegals and we all know the reason they're coming: There are no repercussions. Like, why not come? The Biden Administration doesn't care if you do; they'll gladly see you off to Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles.

But I can guarantee this law will hit some roadblocks as it interferes with federal policy, which, again, is to catch the migrants and then simply release them into the country. However, as the Constitution grants zero power to the federal government when it comes to immigration, I choose to look straight at the Tenth Amendment, which reads,

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Yeah, Texas is in the right here, doesn't matter what liberals say.

I love this new law out of Texas and I can't wait to see it enforced.

The other two bills signed by Abbott included a measure to appropriate over $1 billion in funding for border security, including barriers, and increased penalties for human trafficking.

Good.

There will be legal battles, but Texas gonna win!
