You want to know what I remember about mall Santa?
I remember standing in a long line in a 50-year-old shopping mall, somewhere between the smells of grease and fries coming from the food court and the perfume aisle over at JC Penny's, condemned to endure boredom and hunger until we finally got up to the weird man with the fake beard who smelled like butterscotch and bourbon aftershave so my parents could check a box on their Christmas to-do list.
Let's warp back in time so you young bucks can get an idea of what it was like:
Ah, the memories.
Well, in 2023, most malls are either closed or a shadow of their former selves. Visiting the mall puts your family at risk of becoming part of the latest looting flash mob.
Still, some malls have seriously upped their game!
Dang, man!
I wonder how long you have to wait in line for this experience?
What do you think? Where do we go from here? How can mall-Santa tech advance further? What happens when AI takes over?
The future is full of possibilities!
