The 40th Cavalry Regiment is conducting airborne insertion drills with its Spartan Paratroopers and that's a little alarming but man is it awesome to watch

It's, you know, a little teeny bit unsettling that one of the great legendary regiments of the U.S. Army is rehearsing paratrooper drops just several hundred miles from the Russian border—I mean it's probably nothing to worry about all that much, but you still kinda wonder, you know?

That being said....it looks so sick when they do it.

This took place at the Fort Greely military installation in the Alaskan Southeast Fairbanks Census Area:

Just to give you an idea of how well-trained these guys are, consider the ground-level windspeed on the day this training took place:
