The director of the CDC just called gun violence a "serious public health threat" and says "something needs to be done" about it, and I'm thinking this will only make gun ownership even more contagious

Apparently gun violence is a disease now.

Yeah dude, you thought our government's approach to Covid was bad.

Now the CDC wants to solve the "serious public health threat" of gun violence.

As if we haven't lost enough freedoms already...

Here's a fun quote from this interview of CDC Director Rochelle Walensky:

Generally the word "gun," for those who are worried about research in this area, is followed by the word "control." And that's not what I want to do here. I'm not here about gun control. I'm here about preventing gun violence and gun death.

Okay, sounds great!

I've completely changed my mind. Go ahead and do your thing lady! I now trust the government at a level of 10,000%.

Another great quote from this fabulous woman when it comes to gun contr— I mean, gun violence: "Now is the time — it's pedal to the metal time."

ENCOURAGING!!

Okay, I'm sorry. I can't. There's a reason these people call themselves "progressives."

Because these things—stripping citizens of their basic freedoms—take time.

Unfortunately, it seems like they're running out of that. So that's good.

But still, I worry that all these folks out there who wake up every morning and get their daily devotions from the CDC will fall for this garbage.

And hey, if you can get them to wear masks in their own backyard you can basically get them to do anything.

Next thing you know it'll be, "if you know a gun owner or someone you fear may be interested in purchasing a firearm, please report them to the CDC and we'll send out an agent to take care of them immediately."

Shut up. Just shut up.

Okay, I'm sorry.

Here's the full interview for you. It seems CNN didn't give us the entire interview, but there are more quotes in the article I linked to above.
