The Mouse Messed With The Wrong State! Florida's Senate Just Passed Legislation To End Disney's Tax Privileges
· Apr 20, 2022 · NottheBee.com

If you mess with the king, you best not miss.

The king, in this case, is Ron DeSantis and Florida Republicans.

This all started when Disney decided to stick their nose where it didn't belong and tried to pressure Ron DeSantis into vetoing Florida's anti-grooming bill.

After Disney freaked out, caved to woke employees, and started openly spouting about their not-so-secret gay agenda, the organization is about to lose all its privileges of being in Florida.

Here's what it would mean, from NBC:

The legislation would dismantle Disney's special district on June 1 of next year. The special status, which was granted by a state law in 1967, allows Disney to self-govern by collecting taxes and providing emergency services. Disney controls about 25,000 acres in the Orlando area, and the district allows the company to build new structures and pay impact fees for such construction without the approval of a local planning commission.

The effort to eliminate Disney's district, known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District, comes after DeSantis began targeting the corporation over its leaders' criticism of legislation he recently signed that would prevent classroom discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation in kindergarten through the third grade.

You just have to love the corporate media framing.

"DeSantis began targeting" Disney.

Disney went out of its way to pressure DeSantis. He didn't pick this fight.

But he's glad to to finish it.

By the way, this was only proposed yesterday and the Florida Senate has already sent it ahead to their House.

They asked the obvious question: If Disney hates us, why are we doing them all sorts of favors and supporting them?

Stay on offense, Florida!
