The US Surgeon General was asked about Joe Rogan's "misinformation" and said the media and government should "use the power that we have to limit the spread" šŸ¤Ø

Yeah, so I'm not sure what's worse here, the media's ridiculous leading question (tell us why Joe Rogan is so bad!) or the fact that the US Surgeon General is calling for the censorship of the most popular podcast host on the planet because he invites some people on his show who don't repeat the Narrativeā„¢.

Absolutely stupid.

The way we "get through this pandemic" is by realizing it stopped being a pandemic once we understood the nature and mortality rates of the virus in mid-2020.

Now, even as we have data coming out about the uselessness of masks, the mortality rates of Omicron that are comparable to the flu, the way governments conflated dying with Covid to dying of Covid, and the risks of the vaccines (which don't stop transmission and are relatively useless against Omicron unless you have a booster), Surgeon General Vivek Murthy wants to remind everyone out there that big government has our backs and we just need to listen to their version of the sCieNcE forever (OR ELSE)!

"This is not just about entertainment, it's not just about garnering clicks. This is about people's lives. And we have seen time and time again that misinformation costs people their lives.

He's right. Lives are being lost.

  • Which is why telling hospitalized patients like my elderly grandma that there's no other treatment besides Tylenol is wrong.
  • Which is why giving kids an experimental vaccine that has now had studies in the UK showing its adverse effects on younger people makes zero sense for a virus that doesn't affect them.
  • Which is why some health experts are now saying the anti-viral drug Remdesivir is massively increasing the risk of death and calling out the government for financially incentivizing hospitals to use it.
  • Which is why isolating and masking up our kids is leading to a huge increase in youth depression, learning problems, addiction, and suicide.
  • Which is why shutting down the economy and forcing people out of their jobs that feed their families over a vaccine is going to cause far more damage in the long-term than a virus that targets the very elderly, the immunocompromised, and the morbidly obese.
  • Which is why millions of missed health screenings will mean far more death from things like cancer and heart disease than the 'Rona over the next few years.
  • Which is why ignoring natural immunity is wrong.
  • Which is why ignoring the science and anecdotal stories of individuals like myself who have used ivermectin should not be ignored.
  • Which is why we shouldn't be ignoring the reports that too many boosters could be dangerous for the immune system.
  • Which is why the Biden administration revoking the use of life-saving monoclonal antibodies is abhorrent.

...The only way we get past misinformation is if we are careful about what we say and we use the power that we have to limit the spread of that misinformation.

This isn't the first time Murthy has called for censorship:

In July, Murthy also called for social media companies to censor what he termed misinformation on COVID. "Misinformation tends to flourish in environments of significant societal division, animosity, and distrust," Murthy said at the time. "Distrust of the health care system due to experiences with racism and other inequities may make it easier for misinformation to spread in some communities. Growing polarization, including in the political sphere, may also contribute to the spread of misinformation."

The silver lining here is that the harder they push for censorship of people like Joe Rogan, the more people will turn off the poorly-rated cable shows and become one of the 11+ million people who listen to Joe Rogan every day!
