They're remaking "The Office" with a "female-led" cast because of course they are

Well, it's real.

They're going to remake The Office, one of the modern classics and most beloved sitcoms of all time, and they're going to do it as a "female-led" reboot because it's 2023 and of course they are.

Here's the reaction from every real Office fan:

And by "they" I mean the Australians. They're going to make their own version of The Office with a feminist spin.

Parks and Rec was supposed to be a female-centric Office imitation centered around Amy Poehler, but after one season they found out that kinda sucked. So the show became much more about Ron Swanson and Chris Pratt's characters than Poehler's Knope. That's when the show got good.

But not learning that lesson, the Aussies are gonna give it another shot.

From ScreenRant:

Now, per Deadline, Gervais' original premise is set to be adapted once more, with Prime Video Australia working on a new version of The Office starring comedian Felicity Ward as Hannah Howard, the manager at packaging company Flinley Craddick. The synopsis for the show reveals that Howard will go to great lengths to keep her "work family" together after news comes down from Head Office that her branch is being shut down in favor of a work-from-home model.

Am I crazy? No one is going to want to watch this, right?

(Except for the four or five people who liked Velma and thought Leslie Knope was a good character on Parks and Rec.)

Who is watching The Office and thinks to themselves, "This is good but it could really use some more #GirlBoss!"?

If you wanna see a feminist work in an office and attempt to be funny, why not watch She-Hulk?

The original creator of the British version of The Office, the politically incorrect Ricky Gervais, is hopeful for the remake... but in my estimation, he's most likely just happy to see the royalty checks come in for using his idea.

How about y'all just let me know how this one is? I don't think I'm going to waste my time or money on this one.
