Here's a viral throwback to 2004 when Republicans knew what marriage was and how to defend it
· Nov 18, 2022 · NottheBee.com

In this clip that is now more relevant than ever, Republican Alan Keyes made the essential defense of traditional marriage during a debate with then-State Senator Barrack Obama.

It was Keyes vs. Obama (and the moderator who chided Keyes for his defense of marriage). But in the face of that pressure, Keyes gave one of the best explanations of marriage you'll ever see.

Watch:

Just like in the abortion argument, the Left loves to obfuscate and talk about the edge cases. If you say that marriage is for procreation, then the Left will ask, "Should infertile men and women marry? Should elderly people marry?"

The entire purpose of marriage as an institution that "outlines the responsibilities and obligations of procreation" was destroyed by Obergefell making gay marriage valid in 2015. Now in 2022, with the help of Senate Republicans, our nation is going to stamp it into the ground.

The only reason that government got involved in marriage, historically speaking, was to ensure it had as many stable homes as possible to pump out as many future citizens as possible. These new laws literally do the opposite.

There are very few actual conservatives left in national politics. Change my mind!
