Another day, another headline-grabbing move from President Donald Trump.
Friday evening, Trump made a post to his Truth Social account announcing that he had revoked Joe Biden's security clearance and ended the former president's daily intelligence briefings.
Biden had broken with tradition in 2021 by preventing then-former President Trump from having access to intelligence briefings, so now Trump is returning the favor. But not without good reason.
As Trump mentioned in his social media post, Biden's mental capacity is suspect at best, presenting a significant national security risk to give him access to sensitive information. After all, you can't have a senile old man blabbing national secrets or passing around confidential info.

Trump also referenced the findings of a federal investigation into Biden's retention of classified documents from his days as vice president and senator, indicating that the former special counsel Robert Hur's bombshell report on the matter was a factor in his decision-making process.
Hur determined that Biden 'willfully retained and disclosed classified materials' after leaving office as vice president in 2016, but he didn't charge the 46th president with a crime over concern that jurors would find Biden to be a 'sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.'
A bit of advice for the team involved with making sure Biden no longer has possession of any classified documents…
