Trump's Surgeon General pick is making some conservatives scratch their heads

Dr. Janette Nesheiwat has been chosen by Donald Trump to be the nation's next Surgeon General and it's left a lot of people on the Right scratching their heads.

In a statement on Friday evening, Trump said that Dr. Nesheiwat is a 'fierce advocate and strong communicator for preventative medicine and public health.'

'I am proud to announce that Dr. Janette Nesheiwat will be the Nation's Doctor as the United States Surgeon General. Dr. Nesheiwat is a double board-certified Medical Doctor with an unwavering commitment to saving and treating thousands of American lives,' he said ...

Nesheiwat serves as a medical director at CityMD, a network of urgent care centers in New York and New Jersey, and she was previously a physician at Washington Regional Medical Center and at Northwest Medical Hospital.

The problem for conservatives?

She is basically the Fox News version of the pro-mask, pro-jab, shut the schools down, public health "experts" during Covid.

This is ... a little worrisome.

She's pro Covid boosters ...

She is not quite as "trust the science no matter what" as the Faucis, Birxes, and Wens of the world, and she's at least level headed enough to have not pushed mandatory jab on kids. She did however say that she supports vaxxing the kids, as long as it isn't mandatory.

She seems to be the quintessential middle of the road kind of person, doesn't she? Both sides are going to find reasons to hate this nominee.

Here's Dr. Nesheiwat in LATE 2020.

She was also pro-masking in schools during the later Delta variant in 2021.

Pushing masks in schools in 2021 ... that's a red flag for many.

Maybe even two masks!

She also appears to be pro-censorship ...

Yeah, it doesn't look like a Covid reckoning or correcting will be happening from the Surgeon General, does it?

The positive case? She is the sister-in-law of Scott Stapp, the lead singer of the most American band of all time, Creed.

Should we be worried?
